Logistics Excellence Award 2025

Applications are now officially open for the 2025 Logistics Excellence Award (PEL 2025) – an initiative that celebrates innovation, talent, and excellence in Portugal’s logistics sector. If you’ve developed or contributed to a transformative project in this area, this is your opportunity to gain national recognition.

Applications are open until May 2, 2025, and the winners will be honored at an official ceremony in front of a panel of experts and industry thought leaders.

What is the PEL?

The PEL – Logistics Excellence Award aims to boost the development of logistics in Portugal by publicly recognizing projects, professionals, companies, and academic institutions that actively contribute to advancing the sector. Each year, the award honors innovative and high-impact projects, encouraging the sharing of best practices and new models of competitiveness.

🏅 This award features 3 categories:

PEL2025_Company

This category is for companies with benchmark logistics projects that stand out for excellence in process optimization, adoption of innovative solutions, or digital transformation of the supply chain.
🔍 Objective: To reward initiatives that serve as an inspiring example and help raise the level of logistics performance in Portugal.
👥 Target Audience: Companies from sectors such as industry, retail, logistics operators, public sector, armed forces, NGOs, and tech partners in collaboration with clients.

PEL2025_Startup

This is where startups with disruptive ideas and minimum viable products that can revolutionize logistics shine.
🔍 Objective: To recognize high-growth potential solutions based on emerging technologies, robotics, collaborative platforms, or new logistics approaches.
👥 Target Audience: Startups impacting areas such as warehousing, last mile, transportation, production logistics, or digital solutions applied to the sector.

PEL2025_Academia

Academia plays a crucial role in the future of logistics, and this category aims to promote applied research and education in the sector.
🔍 Objective: To reward academic work, courses, or research projects with practical relevance and a high degree of innovation in the logistics field.
👥 Target Audience: Professors, researchers, students, and higher education institutions with projects applicable to the business environment.
