Tech Foundry Portugal – Deep Tech Edition
Banco Português de Fomento has opened applications for Tech Foundry Portugal – Deep Tech Edition, a programme designed to support Deep Tech start-ups in the development and validation of scientifically grounded technological innovations, through:
- Funding of up to €750,000, using equity or quasi-equity instruments, under a co-investment model with private investors (minimum 30% private co-investment);
- Access to a national acceleration programme, currently being prepared by Startup Portugal, focused on concept validation, prototype development and go-to-market strategy;
- Integration into national and international networks of mentors, investors and industrial partners.
Applications are open until 21 November 2025 and 4 February 2026.
The support is aimed at projects with TRL ≥ 4, protected intellectual property (or in the process of being protected), and a clear link to the National Scientific and Technological System, within one of the following domains:
- Biotechnology and life sciences;
- Nanotechnology and advanced materials;
- Clean and climate technologies;
- Advanced digital technologies (AI, semiconductors, quantum, etc.);
- Advanced and sustainable mobility (space, defence, autonomous systems).
