Portugal 2030 – what should we expect?
Portugal 2030 is a program that puts into practice the Partnership Agreement between Portugal and the European Commission, which sets the application of European Funds in the development of the Portuguese economy until the end of the decade.
The program will be implemented around five strategic objectives, specifically: a smarter, greener, more connected, more social Europe and closer to the citizens. To this end, it is implemented through 12 programs.
These programs mobilize the totality of available resources, in an articulated and coherent way, with their respective strategic objectives. The authorities of each program are responsible for the distribution of the funds under each program. It’s also their responsibility to open applications, evaluate, follow-up, and implement the projects.
The grants can finance projects from companies, individuals, public bodies, and other organizations, according to the definition of the types of entities that can apply to each program.
Portugal 2030 is essentially a program that will provide support to promote in Portugal: the qualification and empowerment of human resources, social inclusion, innovation and digital transformation and climate change. It should also contribute to territorial cohesion and demographic sustainability.
