Decarbonization or NETZERO: Which is the Best Option?

In Portugal, we have an ambitious commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. The National Energy and Climate Plan (PNEC) 2030 sets out bold targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 compared to 2001 levels.

In the European Union, transport is responsible for over 25% of CO₂ emissions, making it one of the primary contributors globally. For instance, implementing a decarbonization roadmap in a transport and logistics company requires significant investments – particularly in fleet electrification, such as replacing combustion vehicles with electric vehicles. This transition demands substantial investments in charging infrastructure, batteries, and electric vehicle technologies.
